Berets are soft, rounded hats originally from the french. These hats are usually made out of wool felt, tweed, cotton, or cashmere. A Wool Beret is the perfect accessory for the majority of your looks. Simply put this hat on as an extra piece. You only need 1/4 of fabric to sew one and they are easy to make!

Follow along below to create your own.

Materials:

-Fabric cutting scissors.

-1/4 yard of wool fabric.

-1/4 yard of lining fabric.

-Our Free Pattern.

-Sewing Machine.

Step 1:

Cut out all of your materials and lay them out.

Step 2

Pin your fabric all along the sides and sew.

Step 3:

Sew your extra piece, so it makes a loop. Then fold your top fabric into quarters and snip the middle. This is where your looped fabric will go. Insert it and then sew it down.

Step 4:

With both of your right sides together, sew around your beret and leave a 2-4" opening.

Step 5:

Turn your beret inside out and top stitch along the opening.

Step 6:

Enjoy your new beret!!
