Subtraction Cutting
Subtraction Cutting is a technique developed by Julian Roberts. Its a method of taking a flat piece of fabric and using the negative space around the fabric. The fabric is laid down flat and has holes cut into it allowing the fabric to be turned and folded on to itself, allowing the designer to create new designs.
There are 2 main techniques to the subtraction cutting method:
1. Tunnel Technique.
2.Displacement Technique.
